Our Story
AMO, which stands for Alejandra and Mo, embodies the gastronomic minds of two individuals with different world stories and journeys to food.
Their combined travels have taken them to six continents. Both hosts at heart, they have crafted an appreciation for fine foods and sharing them with others.
Chef Alejandra
Alejandra’s talents were cultivated over a lifetime of wide-ranging experiences in a variety of locations. Born in Michoacán, Mexico, she grew up in Mexico City and at the age of 18 moved to Europe.
While she lived in Italy for a few months, Germany is where she decided to settle. Showing an early talent in a variety of arts such as acting, singing and dancing, she went on to study at Paul Hindemith Music School in Neukölln, Berlin, studying Musical Show.
Following this, she specialized in TV Hosting and TV Radio & Voice-over at the Deutsche Pop Academie in Munich. Shortly after, she started working in German TV series and commercials.
In 2016, Alejandra took part in MasterChef Germany which gave her career a gastronomic impulse.
She then started working in the restaurant scene under the wing of well-known TV Chef Ralph Zacherl at Schmidt Z&Ko, Eins 44 and eventually took the role of Head Chef at Lausebengel Berlin.
At the same time, Alejandra joined TV Chef Mike Süsser to form the jury of the TV show “My Kitchen Rules” Germany.

Mo
Mo was born in France but left Europe at a young age and spent the remainder of his formative years in Perth and Montreal before settling in Vancouver, Canada.
Food had always been paramount at home and was primarily Lebanese influenced. While his parents were Lebanese, they were in fact raised in West Africa and France. As a result, he was exposed to 3 types of cuisines during his upbringing and discovered many more during his future travels.
Mo’s professional background is mostly centered around motorsport engineering, specifically computational aerodynamics, which has taken him to Sweden, the US, England, and Germany before finally moving back to his hometown of Vancouver where he started his consulting company.
After a few years in Vancouver, he made the decision to move to Mexico and evaluate the lifestyle in Puerto Vallarta.
